Heritage Trail of Sri Lanka
Nine days mixing the soul of the island with a few softer adventures — Anuradhapura's stupas, a Minneriya elephant safari, the Sigiriya climb, sacred Kandy, the Ella Rock hike, a Galle Fort sunset and a beach morning in Unawatuna.

We begin at Negombo, then head inland to Anuradhapura — Sri Lanka's first royal capital — followed by two days in Sigiriya for the rock fortress, the Dambulla cave temples and a half-day Minneriya jeep safari for the elephant gathering.
From Kandy we ride the famous blue train into Ella for the Nine Arch Bridge train shot, a real hike up Ella Rock and a swim under Ravana Falls. The final leg drops south to Galle Fort with a sunset on the ramparts and a beach morning in Unawatuna before the airport.
